I have always felt that nothing could explain the feeling of Art more appropriately than this.
This is an excerpt from The Letters of Gustave Flaubert: 1830-1857 that captures for me, the very essence of the creative process.

Art indeed sets us to dream, to visualize, to imagine. it not only helps us dream, it sets a fire in us to achieve them. Every form of art arouses a wave of emotions, maybe a storm just to clean our hearts and calm our souls. Art with its multi fold aspects is difficult, it is difficult to decipher yet as simple as normal life, and when it achieves to infuse dreams our ordinary life becomes extraordinary.
It’s simply beautiful.
